Rob Grimes Takes Listeners Across the Globe with New Single

Rob Grimes Takes Listeners Across the Globe with New Single

SAN DIEGO ‹ As Rob Grimes gears up for the release of his highly anticipated "Struggle Hustle" album, the San Diego emcee already has hit the airwaves with his first single, "Around the World" ‹ a sure-fired banger that gives listeners a taste of what¹s to come.

Behind every successful album is a successful single, and Rob hit this one out the park when he recorded "Around the World." The cool, mellow concept translates to a song you can vibe to on your daily grind or even on vacation in St. Tropez.

"The song is fresh and full of swagger. This song sounds nothing like what you hear on the radio. The process of making the song took minutes," Rob says. "Mark from the Messangers had the beat done and sent it to me. I literally wrote it in 25 minutes. The words just came to me with no hesitation. I¹m carving my own lane with this one Š We are expecting big things with this song."

Produced by the buzzworthy beat-making duo The Messangers, "Around the World" will be available on iTunes on Tuesday, Nov 18. But if you can¹t wait till then, get your tape decks set to JellyRadio.com, Earthbound Radio and Radio FX, where the song is getting lots of love. And stay tuned for the "Around the World" music video, which will be out later this month.

If you don¹t know who Rob Grimes is by now, you better get familiar. Rob has earned a growing fan base and won the respect of the toughest of hip-hop critics with "Dillathon" ‹ a tribute to the late super producer J. Dilla released in February, as well as his most recent project, "Glow in the Dark" ‹ a concept album molded after Rob¹s influences who performed on the tour of the same name.

Join Rob on his journey from a backpacker to an icon on his next album "Struggle Hustle," which will be in stores in early 2009.
